I’m relatively new to blogging, Pinterest, Twitter and Teachers Pay Teachers. But I’m really trying to learn about becoming connecting in cyberspace! I have watched most of Charity Preston’s training videos on Teachers Pay Teachers and they have been extremely helpful – not just for TPT, but also for navigating some other areas of cyberspace as well! I follow some of Charity’s boards on Pinterest and came upon her Classroom Freebies page where she hosts a weekly Manic Monday event. The idea is that you can link up to a blog post telling about a freebie you offer. Additionally, you agree to visit the blogs of the two people directly in front of you and leave a comment for them. This can give good exposure for your TPT store and your blog. I tried it last week with good results. I enjoyed visiting the blogs of some other Manic Monday participants and found some great products to use in my library lessons.
Since I have one more freebie in my still-very-small TPT store, I thought I’d try it again! I’m sharing my “Signs by the Month.” These are just 1/2 page signs for each month that I use in my rotating monthly display. They are also just the right size for a calendar bulletin board, like I used when I taught first grade. Print them out on card stock, laminate them and you have a colorful addition to your monthly book display or calendar. As a bonus I’ve included ideas for themes for your library book display. Give them a try and let me know what you think!
And… may you have a Happy Manic Monday!
