I used to try to avoid my birthday. I fibbed to m I used to try to avoid my birthday. 
I fibbed to my students about my age (Forever 29?!)... 2️⃣9️⃣ 😇
The idea of getting another year older used to 
Stress  Me  Out 😬
These things are hard for me: 
✅ change 
✅ passing time
✅ loss... 
✳️ All magnified by the acknowledgement 
of another year gone by.
😇But about 5 years ago, I took my wise grandmother's words to heart... 
🌈 “It beats the alternative!"
💜 She lived to be 97 1/2 
and relished every year, every day. 
She was always asking 
"What is my purpose?" 
"Why has God chosen to give me more time?"
So today I move forward with joy and acceptance.
